Pensioner Will Set Sail after Massive Bingo Win

Who says that bingo’s heyday is over and the game is done for? Here is another lucky winner who will enjoy a holiday of a lifetime with a loved one after her Sunday hit in the local bingo hall. I’m speaking of Rosemary Anne Jones, a retired lady in her 70s, who loves playing in the Wrexham Club of Mecca Bingo.

Mrs Jones just stepped in the Club one day to get her usual fix and was handed a free scratchcard. Wrexham Bingo Hall held this nice promotion called “Everyone’s a Winner” where every member who would come to the club got a free card and cool gifts were given away each day. But not everyone won that big, of course. Rosemary Anne scooped a Caribbean cruise for two, which was the Grand Prize in the competition.

Rosemary is a regular at the place. She told the reporters that she had been going to that particular club like forever. All parties involved were happy to see her win. She was glad to get her loyalty rewarded. The club management was glad to see a worthy player such as her get a really nice and memorable prize. After all, a cruise is something to remember, don’t you think?

“Bingo certainly brings friends together,” said Mrs Jones. What I found fascinating is that her friends and she used to plan their holidays together and went to places where they’d find a Mecca club. I could definitely relate to that, because going away doesn’t necessarily mean you have to throw your habits away, right? And now the club she’s been so loyal to is giving her a holiday as a present!

Rosemary Anne was so shocked by the win that she didn’t tell others for nearly a week. Well, we are very happy for the lady and wish her and the one she chooses to take with her a pleasant cruise and wind in the sails!
